Chad D. Hufsey
Mr. Hufsey is a Founding Member of TTEA and is a member of the Board of Advisors as well as Co-Chairman of the organization. He grew up in an entrepreneurial environment, with his Dad serving as a role model, and has always been focused on forming his own innovating enterprise…one day soon. Mr. Hufsey currently works at Quantum Energy Partners, an energy focused private equity firm, as a Senior Associate where he contributes to various aspects of forming and running private energy companies. Prior to joining Quantum in 2006, Mr. Hufsey was a financial analyst with Morgan Stanley’s Global Energy Group where he contributed to the coverage of E&P, oil field services and midstream companies as well as to the execution of various transactions in the energy industry. Mr. Hufsey holds a BBA in Finance with a double major in Economics from Texas Christian University.
Elliott W. Kruppa
Mr. Kruppa is a Founding Member of TTEA and is a member of the Board of Advisors of the organization. Mr. Kruppa is currently a student at the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia. Prior to that he served as a member of the investment team at Quantum Energy Partners (“QEP”), a private equity firm based in Houston, TX with over $5.0 billion in capital under management. Mr. Kruppa has been involved as both an investor and an intermediary in energy transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $6.0 billion dollars, bringing vast experience and skills in financing, structuring and evaluating transactions. Prior to QEP, Mr. Kruppa was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers’ Natural Resources Group, where he worked on corporate debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other highly structured transactions. He holds a BBA in Finance with Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
Ted T. Maa
Mr. Maa is a Founding Member of TTEA and is a member of the Board of Advisors as well as Co-Chairman of the organization. Mr. Maa is a Vice President at Denham Capital Partners, an energy-focused private equity firm based in Houston, Texas. At Denham, Mr. Maa’s responsibilities include financial modeling, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio company monitoring. Prior to Denham, Mr. Maa was an equity research associate at Goldman Sachs covering publicly-traded energy MLPs. Mr. Maa holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
